ટોઇંગ
* ટોઇંગ દ્વારા વાહનો લઇ જતા જોવાની (અ)મને બહુ મજા આવે છે. મુવી જોઈને પાછા આવતી વખતે અમે આ સીન જોયો (અને ટોઇંગ ક્રેનની પાછળ વાહન માલિકો) અને હસતાં હતાં. અમે તો ઠીક – આજુ-બાજુ બસસ્ટેન્ડ પર ઊભેલા લોકો પણ. આ જોઈ મેં કહ્યું, કોકી, આ લોકો અને આપણે કેમ હસીએ છીએ?
કોકી એ કહ્યું કે આપણા બધાંની પાસે વ્હીકલ નથી એટલે!

આ પછી ટોઇંગ વાળા આગળ જઈને કદડો કરે છે તેનો એક નાનકડો વિડીઓ લેતો હતો, પણ કંઇ બરાબર ન આવ્યો અને આ પત્રકારત્વમાં જંપલાવાની ક્ષણ નથી એવું લાગ્યું, થોડો ડર પણ લાગ્યો એટલે પછી ફરી ટ્રાય ન કર્યો. 
ટોઇંગ દ્વારા વાહનો લઇ જતા જોવાની અમુક લોકોને બહુ મજા આવે છે. મુવી જોઈને પાછા આવતી વખતે અમે આ સીન જોયો, અમે ટોઈંગ ટ્રકની પાછળ જતા હતા અને લોકો હસતાં હતાં. બસસ્ટેન્ડ પર ઊભેલા લોકો પણ. આ જોઈ મેં કહ્યું, પ્રિયે , આ લોકો કેમ હસે છે?
પ્રિયેએ કહ્યું કે એ લોકોનું વાહન ટોઈંગ નથી થયું ને એટલે!!!

કદડો = નરમ કાદવનો ગંદો રગડ. (૨) (લા.) પદાર્થોને ભેળવી કરવામાં આવતો ગંદવાડ
કડદો = ઓછું આપવું તે (૨) ભેગ (૩) કાટલું
પરંતુ, કડદાનો એક અર્થ, “મેલ; કચરો; કીટું; ગંદવાડ” પણ થાય છે.

Kartik…the police literally follows meaning of word’Towing’…to pull or haul by a rope….hahahah
Seriously speaking, police has no right to two any vehicle in this fashion and damage vehicle by doing so, even if owner has violated rule of parking…he is bound for the fine to pay…but, we in India have no luxury of laws in reality or totality

વડોદરાના ફતે(હ)ગંજમાં એક વખત રોંગ સાઇડમાં ઘૂસી ગયેલા પોલીસના ડબ્બાને (જો કે એ તો તેમનો જન્મસિધ્ધ હક્ક કહેવાય છતાં પણ) લોકોએ ભારે વિરોધ કરીને ક્રેન પાસે ટો કરાવી તેની પાવતી ફડાવી હતી…..
ટોઇંગના આ પ્રસંગે અમે ખૂબ હસેલા, તેના સિવાય ક્રેનની પાછળ દોડવા સિવાય અન્ય બધું વ્યર્થ છે એમ પ્રભુ કહે છે….

સાલ્લુ એક વસ્તું છે કે લોકો હિન્દુસ્તાનની બહાર જાય એટલે કાયદાનું જ્ઞાન (કે ભાન) થવા લાગે પરંતુ એ સ્મૃતિ (ઇરાની) અને ગઝનીના આમિર ખાનની વિ-સ્મૃતિને ના-જાયઝ સંબંધ હોય એમ અહિં આવે ત્યારે એ લોકો કાયદાનું પાલન કરતા નથી એવું સુપ-નિષદમાં “ટાઇપ” કરવાનું રહી ગયું છે
<=જોયુ? કાર્તિકભાઈ પોસ્ટનો મુદ્દો જ "ટૉઇંગ" થઈ ગયો!

આજે ઓફિસે (રીક્ષા નં: ૧ માં) આવતો હતો ત્યારે બે-ત્રણ દ્રિચક્રી વાહનો પર સવાર કોલેજનાં છોરા-છોરીઓ ધમધમાટ જતાં હતા. એમાં ત્રણ છોકરીઓ એક દ્રિચક્રી વાહન પર હતી. એમાં એક `ફોરેનર` લાગતી હતી અને પોતાનાં દોસ્તોની હરકતો આજુ-બાજુ ફાટી આંખે જોતી હતી. મને થયું કે હવે, આ પછી લોકો ભારત વિશે કંઇ ખરાબ લખે એમાં એમનો વાંક નહીં.

You have not mentioned my name but I can smell your opinion is directed on my comment..:D
I think, I didnot write anything out of context for the blog item,right Kartik?!!
If I am out of country does not put me in different level than you,plus if I had commented same thing living in India, would that have given me advantage?
Also, how can you say so confidently & in generalised term, that NRIs do not follow laws when in India?? I think this is little too much
Knowing proper laws and its meaning too, helps us sometime. Else, what happens ? a laugh to the incidence, coz it is not happening with us at that time (this is just a pointer, take lightly)
But, I would request that pl look at NRI with balance insight and not a prejudiced mindset. They are one of the key elements who brings to country a badly needed foreign exchange for our imports (read crude oil e.g.)
Moreover, just to clarify and clear any doubts about NRI…I am a NRI after serving nation for more than 25 yrs. Also, I am here because of my expertise and not just for labour sake.Amen
(P.S. please take this as a clarification and not as rebuke..:D)

યોર ઘ્રાણેન્દ્રિય ઇઝ વર્કિંગ વેલ બટ લેટ મી ક્લેરીફાય કે આ માત્ર અને માત્ર આપના પર ન હતું. હા એન.આર.જી. ના અનુસંધાનમાં જરૂર હતું.
મને એન.આર.જી. સાથે કોઇ પૂર્વગ્રહ નથી ઇનફેક્ટ મારે એન.આર.જી. સાથે જ વધુ ભળે છે. છતાંપણ ઉપરોક્ત વિધાન પણ એટલું જ સાચુ છે કે મોટાભાગના (બધા નહી)એન.આર.જી.જેટલા કાયદા કાનૂનનું પાલન બહાર કરે છે એટલુ હિન્દુસ્તાનમાં નથી કરતા – બેનીફિટ ઑફ ડાઉટ નો લાભ આપીને એમ કદાચ જરૂર કહેવાય કે અહિં ના કાનૂન જ એવા હશે કે લોકોને પાળવા કરતા તોડવામાં વધુ “મજા” આવતી હશે.

Ok, I agree with you some people never learn anything and such people do not follow or rather feel proud in sometimes breaking or just teasing laws out of country and they pay for it which they never will tell you!!
And just same way, do not we see people in India, who religiously follow rules even if hurts them dearly (moneywise or other way too)? so, this world is full of contradictions and rather that makes the life else why nature would creat such two extreme ends in life!!!
During last vacation- I was driving two wheeler in Alkapuri area and had to wait a junction for signal…as it happens, one impatient car owner was blowing full for me to move on despite red signal, I just ignored him and what happened next? I had to ask him to come out of car and face me…all this happened before trafic police. I fought with police and at last they pleaded me to let him go and not pursue matters, we all know the reason.
Anyway, sorry Kartic to use your memory here so much

તો એ લોકો એ બહાર કાયદાઓનું ઓછું પાલન કરવું જોઈએ કે પછી ઇન્ડિયામાં કાયદાનું પાલન વધારે કરવું જોઈએ?

બહાર તમારે કાયદાનું પાલન જખ મારીને કરવું પડે છે. અપના હિન્દુસ્તાનમાં તો બધું જ ચાલે – એ ન્યાયે તેઓ જાણતા હોવા છતાં કાયદાની એસીતેસી કરે છે.
