  1. This past week I had attended a science fest arranged by a reputed university here in De Kalb, IL, UDA, and they had at least 6 videogame/activities designed by high school kids using web cam and capturing your motion of your hands, Face/eyes to control and navigate the games they designed. so they must have gotten their “inspirations” some where.

  2. Hello, I noticed you have some doubts over this thing. I was the one who is there in the photograph and also the protagonist who worked on this technology. We used Arduino and I am a very renowned researcher on Arduino and have conducted workshops on it too. Well, I don’t understand what I should have to hide in this that may suspect your grey cells!

    Please reply as to clear the air.

    1. Well, My point was hiding base of Arduino. It could be easy to understand if you’ve mentioned it is based on Arduino in the article itself. I don’t have anything suspect in ability of your research here.

      Thanks for your work and research. I hope that it will be useful apart from study project too.

      1. Agree with Kartik! DB writes most of the stories by adding some mirch masala and when it comes to technology, they just copy paste things from other resources on internet or they don’t go into details before publishing in a manner which doesn’t mislead readers. Innovation should be treated as innovation. If one can create a browser on top of mozilla, that doesn’t mean that he has invented browser. Students definitely need encouragement, but in right direction. The sad thing is, most of the professors (in Gujarat) are not in touch with what’s gng on in technology world so its too much to ask proper support for any innovation. @Hardik – keep up the good work and help the community

      2. See, we tried to explain the reporter who was covering the story, a 1000 times it was based on a micro-controller platform called Arduino. If you have been interviewed by one like them, you would know they have their own questions and they can go into much technical details in the newspaper as it does not interest the “aam janata”. Hence it was futile to even mention it though we did time and time again.

        Anyway, a story based on my new research again came out a day before in Divya Bhaskar and still they commit mistakes like mixing “hack” with “hang”. Now tell me what to do! That is why we need a better tech media.

        1. Oh, reporters!

          Do you plan to conduct workshop on Arduino in Ahmedabad? Or interested? Let’s do that. I know few interested. And, I hope that at least some English media will not confuse people with ‘hack and ‘hang’.

          I’ll email you by tonight if you’re ok with idea.

          1. I have done 6 workshops on Arduino so far. One of them was in Vikram Sarabhai Community Science Center Ahmedabad for a month last September. I am always open to conducting workshops if I get a good crowd and interested people.

            Regards.
